Tell us about your family
My husband and I live on the Central Coast in NSW. We are high school sweethearts that have been joined at the hip for 14 years. We bought a house, got married and now have a gorgeous 8-month old son, River Arlo.
What is your fondest memory of being pregnant?
Falling asleep while he kicked or moved inside would have to most amazing feeling!
What do you love most about being a Mum?
That he adores me for me. The continuing love from him gives me a purpose to wake up happy everyday... his smile melts my heart every time.
What has been one of your favourite memories about motherhood so far?
When he looked up at me and called me Mum!
What's one of the things that you least expected about motherhood?
Other people's opinions and judgement...
What is the biggest lesson that motherhood has taught you so far?
That your time will work around your little one and not the other way around.
What values do you think are the most important to instil in your children?
Other than being a Mum, what are you most passionate about?
I'm a makeup artist actually... I love painting peoples faces!
What baby product can you not live without and why?
When hiring a nanny, what qualities would you look for in an applicant?
A warm, kind and friendly mother figure that will love my child as much as I do.
Sometimes life can get a little crazy, what do you do to stay sane?
I stop and think about how beautiful my family and the world really is. I take a step back from everything and just enjoy timeless moments with my best friend. My husband is my total rock and I truly love spending every moment I can with him and now with our beautiful son.
What's your favourite activity to do with your family?
Everything outdoors, from splashing in puddles, feeling the sand on your feet, to just going for a walk. I love showing him the world, his face lights up at every new sight. He's so observant to the world around him, so it's my passion to show him everything I can. Hopefully one day I can travel the world with him by my side.
Is there any advice you can give to mums-to-be?
I'm still learning this whole MUM GIG! You will never stop learning, so just take one day at a time and enjoy each day. The judgement from other people can be daunting but just remember you created this beautiful being so teach, learn and love how ever way YOU want. Enjoy every day as they grow up so quickly!
